- Passport applications and renewals can only be made at the London Embassy.
- You can only book your request for an appointment online. Swedish Passports in the United Kingdom – Sweden Abroad
- Appointments are released continuously and without notice.
- You do not need an appointment to get an emergency passport at the Embassy which is open on specific days and times for emergency passports. Full information is available on the Embassy Web Site including the possibility to apply for an emergency passport at Edinburgh Consulate only. An emergency travel document is only valid for a one way journey to Sweden.
- You can arrange for collection of your new Passport , ID card or Driving licence from the Consulate, please email jgr@georgehammond.com
- When a new item arrives at the Consulate for collection, holders are notified to the email or UK telephone which the applicant has lodged at The Embassy.
- If we are only given a Swedish Mobile telephone number we do not call it and wait for holder to get in touch.

Swedish Consulates do not deal with migration matters. Where you are directed by Migrationsverket to contact the relevant mission in your country, for the UK that is only the Swedish Embassy in London.
You cannot book interviews for work permits or residence permits at the Dover Consulate or for biometric data to be taken.
Migrationsverket from time to time ask Swedish passport holders to complete a form for Citizenship Verification (Medborgarskapsforklaring). Please check your form carefully and if it says it can be delivered to the Embassy or a Career Consulate (Karriar Konsulat) You must deliver it to the London Embassy because Dover is an Honorary Consulate. Please make sure that you always inform the Swedish Tax Agency of your new contact address, so they can then inform you before the coordination number expires.
